Orbit Cards asks before it uses anything that isn't needed to run the site. Today that's one thing: Google Analytics, which tells us which pages people use. If you say no, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, it never loads. Our fonts and scripts are served from our own site, so opening a page doesn't contact Google or other font and script hosts.
If you say yes: Google Analytics
We load Google's tag (G-1PDMJ5DC93) and send a page view for each page you open: the address, the page title, your browser and a rough location Google works out from your connection. Ad features are off: no ad cookies, no ad personalisation, no Google Signals. Google sets these cookies:
| Cookie | What for | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells your visits apart from other people's | 2 years |
_ga_1PDMJ5DC93 | Keeps your current visit together | 2 years |
Google handles the data under its own terms: Google's privacy policy.
Always, because the site needs them
These live in your browser's storage, aren't used for tracking, and aren't shared with anyone.
| Name | What for | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
oc.consent | Your choice about analytics, so we don't ask on every visit | 1 year |
pocketbase_auth | Keeps you signed in after you connect X | Until you sign out |
oc.via | A friend's code from a link you followed, so the friend discount still applies when you buy | 30 days |
oc.export, oc.demo, the plan you picked, card previews | Your export format and resolution, the demo and card previews (session storage). Card options aren't kept: they reset when you reload | Until you close the tab |
| A sign-in check cookie | Matches X's answer to the sign-in you started, once | 10 minutes |
Error reports and feedback
Every page loads the SnagFrog widget, which reports errors on the page (the error, the page address and browser details) so we can fix them, and opens the "Report a problem" form when you ask for it. It doesn't set cookies or track you across sites. More in the privacy policy.
Change your mind
You can switch analytics on or off at any time. Turning it off stops the tag at once and deletes the Google Analytics cookies.
